Judge Stark nominated to CAFC
The Institute congratulates the Honorable Chief Judge Leonard P. Stark of the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware on his nomination to the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. Chief Judge Stark, who is a past speaker on our annual CLE Donald R. Dunner Judicial Panel, was nominated to the CAFC earlier this month by President Biden.

WIPO Inaugurates the IP & Gender Champion Initiative
The World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) has selected Deputy Director General Lisa Jorgenson as the organization’s first IP & Gender Champion. In this role, Jorgenson will lead and oversee the creation and management of programs under the IP and gender equality initiative at WIPO. READ MORE
Increasing Inventor Diversity: New IIPSJ Webpage and Other Updates
A core aspect of IIPSJ’s work to support the engagement of historically IP underserved groups and communities in the IP ecosystem necessarily involves promoting the development, protection, and entrepreneurial and other empowering uses of intellectual property. IIPSJ has launched an Inventor Diversity webpage to provide information and to support innovators and provide updates on governmental and private sector initiatives to promote IP education and innovation in IP underserved communities.
