In highlighting social justice concerns in the presentation and analysis of emerging IP issues, IIPSJ seeks to stimulate practical and scholarly discourse on questions of information technology disparity and related problems of institutionalized racial and economic inequity.
One of IIPSJ’s principal objectives is to promote diversity among IP practitioners by working to expand the opportunities for minority attorneys to enter and distinguish themselves in the field. IIPSJ works to achieve these goals through the development and sponsorship of affordable CLE programs and seminars. The CLE programs assist HUSL alumni and other practitioners develop and maintain expertise in IP practice, and provide opportunities for experienced minority IP lawyers to demonstrate their expertise in the field to an audience they might not otherwise reach.
IIPSJ's Sixth Annual IP CLE will be held Thursday and Friday, March 5-6, 2009
